MANAGING

BUSINESS IT SYSTEMS

ROLE: CIO

MY CURRENT WORK

ICCBroadcast has been the first company that gave me the opportunity to lead its IT department, acting as enterprise CIO.

Joining the company in a transition moment I was tasked with full update of all IT systems, that involved from HQ local network and systems renew, to a complete redesign of their cloud infrastructure.

So, I lead a full migration to modern, CISCO based networking deploy, teamed with PROXMOX PVE based infrastructure, along with fearless introduction and usage of open-source solutions and operating systems to provide core business services such as streaming, hosting and monitoring.

My personal fingerprint is on the current design of most of the company core business, specially on streaming services.
Years of knowledge collection were finally put into action: Debian based clustered servers, in an High Availability Virtualized environment, over a distributed, redundant, datacenter deploy, involving VPN technologies, centralized monitored and control through usage of technologies such as munin, ElasticSearch, Logstash and Kibana, to mention some, have allowed the company to position itself as a serious competitor to the current establishment of streaming companies in the Spanish broadcast market.

After boosting enterprise IT proficiency, availability and flexibility, I was also tasked to explore the possibility of creation of a custom made, Debian based, encoding appliance... again, I accepted the challenge, and today, I'm proud to have my 'Oli' encoder appliance deployed on every key streaming customer deploy.
